Statutory rights and commercial warranties
A legal guarantee of conformity is separate from a voluntary manufacturer or seller warranty. When you buy as a consumer, goods must meet the contractual and legal conformity requirements. Under the applicable EU framework, consumer goods benefit from at least two years of legal protection for non-conformity, subject to the relevant rules and any longer protection under national law. A manufacturer’s warranty does not replace the seller’s legal responsibility.
Tell us about a problem
Email info@e-dimitriou.gr with your order reference, product reference and a description of the issue. If available, include the serial or batch number and photographs. Please explain the installation and operating conditions where relevant. We may request proportionate information needed to assess the issue; we do not automatically insist on original packaging or a particular diagnostic video.
Available remedies
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies include repair or replacement without charge, and a proportionate price reduction or termination where the legal conditions are met. Repair or replacement must take place within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Necessary costs are handled under the legal rules, including removal and reinstallation where applicable.
Choosing repair does not waive other remedies if the repair does not resolve the problem. Any statutory extension or renewal of protection that applies following a remedy will be honoured. Relevant national rules determine evidential presumptions and limitation periods; this policy does not shorten them.
Safe assessment
If the product may be unsafe, stop using it where it is safe to do so, isolate it according to the appropriate procedures and contact us. Do not dismantle pressurised or powered equipment without appropriate competence. Please tell us before returning an item exposed to hazardous substances so safe handling can be arranged. Safety coordination does not remove valid legal rights.
Manufacturer support
A product-specific commercial guarantee applies only on the terms supplied for that guarantee. Any stated duration, territorial coverage, procedure and guarantor must be checked against its document. We do not represent that every product has the same manufacturer warranty, certification, expected life or service interval.
Business customers
Business purchases are governed by the agreed specification, applicable sales law and any expressly agreed commercial guarantee. The consumer-only protections above do not automatically apply to B2B contracts. Equally, an item being sold for industrial use does not by itself establish that the buyer is acting as a business.
